Community Guidelines

Pinphy is a shared planning table. Most of what happens here is a small group of people trying to agree on where to eat and what to do. These guidelines keep that pleasant.

• Add context to places you save — why it is worth the detour, when to go, what it costs.
• Keep votes and comments about the plan, not about the person who suggested it.
• Update a place if it has closed or changed, so the next traveller is not caught out.

• Share real experiences and photos you took or have permission to use.
• Disclose it if you have a commercial interest in a place you recommend.
• Do not post fake reviews or ratings.

• Respect local customs, sacred sites and photography rules in the destinations you post about.
• Do not share the exact location of someone's home, or private venues that asked not to be listed.
• Get consent before posting recognisable photos of other travellers.

When you publish a trip, treat it as public forever: anyone with the link can read it. Remove personal details, booking references and passport information before sharing.

Content that breaks the Acceptable Use Policy is removed. Content that is merely unhelpful is usually left to trip members to sort out among themselves.
